As a kinesiologist and naturopath, speaker and writer, we were thrilled that Cassie  Mendoza- Jones shared with La Femme Mecca her top tips to help women upgrade their health and their life. Cassie works with women on a daily basis to help them move into what she calls “body harmony” – a state of balance, ease and vitality. Which is perfect for any woman who feels tired, stressed and burnt out most days.

When she’s not working with clients or creating new books, online courses and programs she’s getting lost in a good novel, hanging out in a cafe or suiting up for a yoga class. More recently, Cassie signed her first book deal with Hay House so will be busy writing the exciting manuscript this year!

SELF CARE

Give yourself permission to indulge in self-care: I think making space to rest, nourish and heal is so important, and giving yourself permission to really look after yourself in whichever way feels right for you – and release any guilt you may feel around making self-care a priority – is so important too.

MOVE YOUR BODY

Move your body everyday. I used to make exercise about weight loss and nothing else, but when I switched that mentality to seeing movement as something that helps me feel connected, grounded and whole, as well as refreshed and full of mental clarity, my morning movement routine became so much more enjoyable.

FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU

Find what works for you… and implement it! Don’t copy anyone else or compare yourself to anyone else. Move your body in whatever way feels good to you, meditate however you like, indulge in self-care however you like, and eat the foods that make your body feel good.

CHANGE WHAT ISN'T WORKING

Be willing to change what’s not working: just because something is “healthy” doesn’t mean it will work for you. Tap into your body, mind and spirit – what’s working? And …what needs to change? How can you start implementing that change slowly, and with care?

Always be kind and gentle with yourself. Always!
