AJE x TEMPUS TWO FASHION WEEK
A fabulous afternoon spent at Carriageworks with fashion design duo Aje and Tempus Two Wines.
There is nothing quite like the first day of fashion week to put your entire wardrobe to shame, so thank goodness for the refreshing abundance of sparkling drinks and canapes in the Mercedes Benz Star Lounge to ease us into fashion and style heaven. With every celebrity and famous fashion blogger swanning the grounds, it certainly made a fun afternoon of celeb spotting and some pretty spectacular oufits… killer heels, leather jackets, capes and unusual enamel clutch bags included!
Aje – what a spectacular show! Held in one of the old warehouses at the Carriageworks, the large industrial space was anchored with hundreds of the most stunning lit copper candles, their flames dancing as dusk fell over Sydney. It really was a sight to behold, and I’m sure you have seen the images all over Instagram!
Kyly Clarke (wearing Aje) & the candle display
So, who was in the front row you ask? Our favourite lady from The Bachelor, Anna Heinrich, Kyly Clarke, Rebecca Judd, Lindy Klim, Tash & Elle, up-and-coming leather designer Stanzee Treliving…and the La Femme Mecca Ladies as of course!

Aje produced a diverse ready-to-wear Spring/Summer ’15/16 collection. We saw their relaxed linen pieces for everyday wear, our favourite was the jumpsuit with beaded neckline – super functional and luxe. More structured pieces followed with heavy embellished white and navy beading which appeared as fashionable distinction. This was teamed with more relaxed denim looks, low ponytails and jumpsuits. Dress it up or down seemed to take centre theme. We were blown away with intricately beaded and sequinned pieces for evening wear. We definitely want a pair of the flared pants – HOT – we also can’t wait to get our hands on the full sequined black and gold number formal gown. Now we just need an invitation to a black tie gala….!
Models wore simple hair, pulled back in a messy low ponytail with the perfect amount of volume. Make-up was absolutely glowing with a soft contour of the cheekbones which certainly matched the golden candle display. Shimmer was applied subtly in all the right spots. Just beautiful.
We were fortunate enough to be invited to the Balcony Bar for Tempus Two’s post show event for a little wine tasting. Each canape was paired with a matching delicious Tempus Two wine. Here is what we noshed on:
Smashed Broad Bean & Mint, Toasted Brioche, Pecorino & Shizo (V)
Matched with: 2011 Pewter Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay
Smoked Salmon on Toasted Brioche, Tomato & Coriander Salsa
Lemon Kingfish Carpaccio, Spicy Tortilla & Avocado Puree
Matched with: 2014 Pewter Semillon
Peking Bbq Duck Pancakes, Hoi Sin Sauce
Blue Cheese & Caramelised Onion Brioche (V)
Mini Beef Bourguignon Pie
Matched with: 2013 Copper GSM
Wild Mushroom Arancini, Parmesan Flakes (V)
Asparagus, Prosciutto & Filo Roulade, Balsamic Paint

The week continued with an abundance of Australia crowd wowing shows, but Tempus Two & Aje certainly started the fashionable week with a stylish bang.
